Why 0bla Exists
0bla was not born to shorten links. It was born to address a simple problem: the web has become excessively intrusive.
1. The Reality
Most online tools rely on massive data collection. A simple click can trigger tracking, fingerprinting, profile enrichment. URL shorteners are no exception. 0bla was created to offer a clear alternative.
2. A Radical Approach: Zero-Trace
Collect only what is strictly necessary. No plain-text IPs, no personal visitor data, no ads, no third-party trackers, no profiling logic. Statistics are anonymized, limited and designed to inform not to surveil.
3. Deliberately Simple Construction
Sober architecture. No unnecessary dependencies, no artificial complexity, no marketing layer. The goal: reduce the attack surface and maintain total control over how the service operates.
4. The Project
0bla is part of a coherent ecosystem: kachouri.com (global vision), itylos.com (Zero-Knowledge security), myproid.com (professional identity), roastmyurl.com (SEO/security audit). One principle: limit collection, control data.
5. The People Behind
Initiated by Mehdi Kachouri (security, technical sobriety, privacy), joined by Julien Gelee to structure the offering and move toward a truly Zero-Knowledge model.
6. What 0bla Will Never Be
Not a disguised tracking platform, not an advertising tool, not a data exploitation system, not a product dependent on opaque algorithms. If a feature requires compromising privacy, it will not be added.
7. A Clear Position
Simplicity over complexity. Transparency over opacity. Respect over exploitation. Sometimes fewer features than competitors but far fewer compromises.
